Job Description
Position Summary:
The Catering Specialist is primarily responsible for taking, placing and processing catering orders. Secondary responsibilities include ensuring high guest service and quality control.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager and FOH Managers.

Assists customers with catering orders.

Responsible for the processing of catering orders including the coordination and communication with chefs.

Proficient on catering software.
-
Plans and coordinates catering deliveries and proper staffing with management.

Ensures proper delivery catering etiquette, accuracy and quality of catering orders upon delivery to customer.

Responsible for follow-up communication with catering customers and reporting feedback to management on a bi-weekly basis.

Ensures outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment including greeting and acknowledging each customer in a positive manner, solid menu and product knowledge, and all other components of the restaurant’s customer service standards.

Communicates customer requests in a prompt, efficient manner.

Assists in resolving customer complaints about food quality or service, with a focus on catering food, subordinating final resolution authority to management.

Assists in monitoring actions of staff and customers to ensure that health, cleaning, safety standards, and liquor regulations are obeyed.

Assists in training and supervising employees, as directed by management.

Ensures the quality of deliveries of merchandise, beverages and baked goods.

Maintains an awareness of food and product information, merchandise promotions, special offers and advertisements.

Prepares registers for the start of the day and processes catering orders in POS each day. Rotates and counts cash drawers for midday cashiers.

Accurately and efficiently completes sales transactions and maintains proper cash accountabilities at registers.

Monitors and corrects timecards for overtime, proper clock in/out and other timekeeping errors. Reports findings to management.

Orders and maintains par for office supplies.

Responsible for collection of retro-point add-on cards, ensuring management approval, and forwarding to corporate office.

Cooperates and interacts with colleagues in a positive, respectful manner and with a team approach, offering to assist as needed in order to ensure customer service.

Reports to work on time and as assigned per the schedule on a regular, consistent basis.

Properly uses materials and equipment to effectively and efficiently complete varying workloads in a timely fashion.

Any other duties as assigned by upper level management.
